افترض البعض أنَّ حضارة الترتريا (التتار) أنها حضارة متقدمة منسيّة؟.
قصة تارتاريا، موضوع ملفوف بالغموض والتكهنات، يأسر خيال مُنظّري المؤامرة
وهواة التاريخ البديل.
يقال إن تارتاريا، أو تارتاريا الكبرى، كما يشار إليها غالبًا، هي
إمبراطورية شاسعة في أوراسيا، تمتد عبر منطقة تمتد من أوروبا الشرقية إلى سيبيريا
في الشمال وإلى شبه القارة الهندية والصين في الجنوب.
ومع ذلك، فإن فكرة وجود مثل هذه الحضارة الواسعة والمتقدمة تكنولوجياً لا
تخضع لتدقيق الأدلة التاريخية التقليدية ، لكن هذا لم يمنع النظريات والروايات البديلة
