في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية...
وفي الفسيفساء الثقافية النابضة بالحياة التي تشكل أميركا، هناك مجتمعات
تختار حياة منعزلة وأكثر بساطة، كما لو أنها أوقفت عقارب الساعة في القرن التاسع
عشر.
الأميش، المعروفون بأسلوب حياتهم الصارم وترددهم في اعتماد التكنولوجيا
الحديثة، هم أحد هذه المجتمعات الرائعة. ويمتد وجودهم إلى عدة ولايات ، تقدم كل
منها لمحة فريدة عن طريقة الحياة التقليدية هذه.
أكبر تجمع للأميش موجود في ولاية" أوهايو"، وتحديداً في منطقة
مقاطعة "هولمز".
